This position will include evaluating both inpatients and outpatients. Faculty will participate in all facets of post-graduate and medical school instruction and teaching in a hospital setting. Academic time will be used to pursue scholarly work and career development in the candidate's area of specialty/research expertise. Academic faculty will be active in their national organizations and foster an academic environment for medical students, residents and faculty. Qualifications Required Qualifications: MD or equivalent degree, eligibility for medical licensure in the State of Minnesota and board certified or board eligible in Pediatric Endocrinology. Candidates should have the necessary skills to care for children of all ages with endocrine issues. Must have demonstrated involvement in academic pursuits, through publications in peer-reviewed journals and research grant applications. About the Department The mission of the Department of Pediatrics is to generate new knowledge through research, to apply this new knowledge to the highest quality health care for the prevention and treatment of illness in children, and to provide the best possible education of the next generation of medical students, physicians, and other health professionals in childhood disease prevention, treatment, research, and advocacy.
