job summary:

We are seeking an Assistant Geologist to support a variety of environmental investigation and remediation projects for federal, state, local, and commercial clients. This role involves field activities such as logging soils, air monitoring, groundwater monitoring well installation, and sample collection for laboratory analysis. The Assistant Geologist will also assist in evaluating environmental data, preparing proposals and reports, coordinating subcontractors, and supporting site remediation planning. Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Geology or a related environmental field, OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification, and at least three years of relevant experience in environmental site investigations and remediation.

responsibilities:

• Assist with field-related activities including logging soils, air monitoring during investigations and remediation, and installation of groundwater monitoring wells.

• Collect soil, groundwater, and vapor samples for field screening and laboratory analysis.

• Collect soil samples for physical testing.

• Assist in evaluating soil and groundwater data, and developing soil and groundwater sampling plans.

• Compile data for soil, air, and groundwater analytical results.

• Support proposal preparation, work plans, and report writing for environmental projects.

• Coordinate and schedule subcontractors for field investigation activities.

• Assist with site remediation planning and implementation.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Comply with all company policies and standards.
