Principal Data Scientist About the Role: At Boston Scientific, the Principal Data Scientistis critical in the overall Customer Care and Capital Equipment analytics and AI strategy by enabling the creation of base datasets (single sources of truth) and data solutions that meet specific business needs. Analyzes data, trends, and insights to create or generate business reports and analytics for internal groups or customers. Obtains and maintains data sets on which analysis is based. Collaborates with internal resources to identify and action specific data needs for the business. Your Responsibilities Include: Work with POs and BAs to convert needs into the appropriate data assets that support the development of the front-end solution. Create algorithms, drive machine learning type solutions where needs require. Be at the front end of what is possible from a technology standpoint and provide strategic views on how to meet a customer's need through data engineering and AI. Maintain technical documentation of solutions and the data dictionary (technical) Interacts with internal customers and across business determine customer data or report requirements and translates them into reports for analysis. Collects and tracks data and provides analysis through ongoing reporting, ad hoc analysis, and partnership to share insights and ensure understanding within the business. Uses data to depict or highlight key organizational trends. Collaborates with businesses to identify insights, trends and potential opportunities, interventions, and solutions to demonstrate business value. Develops and maintains analytical tools used by the business. Identifies and recommends opportunities to optimize system and reporting. May maintain relationships with data and software vendors. Assists with the development and communication of the data analytics strategy and operating plan.
