BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY:

The role of DC Lead requires the team member to be well versed in all Distribution Center operations. This position requires overseeing and coordinating daily departmental warehousing activities. Ultimately, you should be able to ensure that daily operations meet and exceed daily performance expectations and to increase the company’s efficiency and service levels.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Responsible for ensuring department daily and weekly tasks are met

· Problem solve and help with solutions

· Ensure department metrics and KPI’s are being met

· Communicate with teams above and below

· Investigation if problem in department is discovered

· Continuous improvement for personnel and department

· Fills in for Warehouse Manager when not available

· Maintaining a clean work environment

· Finding lost parts

· Helping with shipping

· Assisting with Order-filling

· Drives the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure fulfillment of MSC’s vision and unity of purpose.

· Participation in special projects and performs additional duties as required

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

· High School diploma or the equivalent is required.

· Minimum of five years of warehouse experience with at least two years in a lead role required.

· Part Identification & Nomenclature

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Knowledge of product flow in specific department

· Strong problem-solving skills

· Basic understanding of Word, Excel, Outlook

· Good detail orientation

· Effective time management skills

· Some supervisory skills

· Basic Math skills

· Wireless Warehouse

· Desktop Computer

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

· Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds required.

· May be standing for long periods of time.
