Job Title: Mixing Supervisor

Job Description

This position is responsible for overseeing the mixing production of between 6-9 individuals, and for producing safe and quality food following production standards on specific assignments within required time.

This position is also responsible for understanding related to Quality Management Systems including FSSC, HACCP, and GMP to ensure safety and quality of employees and products.

The job duties include responsibility for assuring food safety and for food quality for Fine Desserts products. A supervisor or other person of authority should be notified if any issues or threats to employee safety, food safety, or food quality are observed.

• Coordinate department activities within the mixing areas to ensure department and company production is met in a timely manner.

• Promptly communicates any potential outages or shortcomings to Supervisor.

• Coordinate and participate in Continuous Improvement, Safety, and Quality initiatives.

• Ensure all required departmental checks are performed as required.

• Properly track and record downtime.

• Support autonomous maintenance through the use of CID and CL standards.

• Perform Root Cause Analysis/Investigations including but not limited to: Safety Incidents, Production Downtime, Food Safety/Quality, Food Waste issues.

• Provide feedback for the creation of work procedures as they pertain to Safety, Quality, and Productivity.

• Promote Food Safety by following all standards.

• Complete daily production records and reports.

• Complete routine audits to ensure processes are followed.

• Perform effective handoffs and communication at shift change with incoming Mixer Team Lead.

• Ensure the correct inventory of supplies is present for the required jobs to be performed.

• Must be able and willing to assume responsibility when the supervisor is absent.

• Ensure adequate training is provided to all Mixers and provide oversight on complex recipes.

• Ensure job rotation and breaks are done at regular intervals when necessary.

• Must be able to operate, and in some cases assemble, production mixing equipment.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary work area.

• Participate in the GFSI/FSSC22000 yearly audit and assist in the development of procedures & corrective actions.

• Follow all good manufacturing practices (GMPs).

• Abide by all safety regulations.

• Perform all other duties as assigned.

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 600 Hour(s).

This is a fully on-site position in Le Center, Minnesota.

Food production environment

Colder environment

Must wear hair net, lab coat & beard guard if they have a beard.

Mask will be worn in all positions.

Most production line workers will be in cooler environments.

Standing for the entire shift.
