Job Title: Mix Room Operator $20-25
Job Description
In this role, employees will perform all duties related to the operations of the Mix Room. This includes following recipe blending instructions, maintaining accurate inventory, and operating various equipment. This list of job duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and other duties may be added as training progresses.
Responsibilities
Follow recipe blending instructions to accurately issue materials by lot and physically mix/blend recipes/batches.
Maintain accurate inventory lots and storage conditions for ingredients.
Operate Refractometer and record accurate brix. Conduct organoleptic testing on every batch.
Use WMS to pick and stage batches by FIFO. Notify management of any discrepancies.
Complete CIP circuits including chemical checks, hand washing, and other steps of SSOP’s.
Operate all Mix & Blending equipment safely according to SOPs, including forklift operations.
Notify Mix Room Manager or Maintenance Staff of any mechanical issues.
Adhere to company Food Safety, Food Quality, GMP, and HACCP rules and requirements.
Stop production and inform Management or QC of any Food Safety or Food Quality issues.
Unload tankers as needed following all safety procedures.
Adhere to Mix Room Schedule and complete jobs in the allotted time.
Maintain communication with Mix Room Manager, maintenance, and QC to ensure production standards are met.
Complete required Batch & SSOP Documentation.
Operate all Mix Room equipment, including starting up and running out batches through the pasteurizers to achieve target brix.
Operate Yard Tractor to place and remove tankers as needed.
Check inventory, print lot tags, complete physical counts, receive inventory, and create batches as needed in Deacom.
Essential Skills
Machine operation
Mixing Experience
6+ months of machine operation experience (GMP environment preferred)
Ability to lift 50+ lbs on occasion
Ability to bend, twist, and crouch consistently
Effective oral, written, and reading communication skills
Ability to learn how to drive a forklift
Ability to learn operating systems including WMS, Red Zone, DEACON, and others
Additional Skills & Qualifications
1-2 years manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred
Food industry experience is a plus

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00
