EL HUB, LLP Livestock Worker / Ranch Hand in Hancock, Minnesota

Need 1 full time, temporary, seasonal Livestock Worker / Ranch Hand to work in Hancock, MN. From: 11/01/2024 - 03/31/2025 Work: 48 hrs./week, Mon. - Sat. 8 hrs./day, 8:00am-5:00pm. All work performed in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at the rate of 1.5 times the regular rate of pay. ESST (Earned Sick and Safe Time) Effective Jan 1, 2024, per MN State Statute, an employee will earn one hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to at least 48 hours of accrued Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) per year, provided the employee works a minimum of 80 hours in a calendar year. Must Apply By: 01/16/2025 JOB DESCRIPTION: Tending to livestock in the forms of feeding, watering, examining, and herding; sorting and shipping livestock; conducting regularly cleaning, repairing, and maintenance of farm equipment and fencing; mixing feed, lifting bags of mineral; identifying and treating sick livestock; assist with vet visits, assist with medication administration; and cleaning pens. Snow removal and site/yard maintenance will also be performed on an as needed basis. May need to drive to town to pick up cattle supplies. Overtime and taking holiday is mandatory. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion. All required work related tools, supplies and equipment will be provided by the employer at no cost. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Minimum one (1) month experience. Able to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs. Able to work in extreme temperatures. Extensive walking required. Must be able to obtain a drivers license within 30 days of hire. Employer requires drug screen post-hire at employers expense. Employer requires criminal background check post-hire at employers expense due to the presence of children on the farm and expensive tools and equipment. Failure to pass drug screen and/or criminal background check will result in termination of employment. EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts.
