The Director of Nursing (DON) will plan, coordinate, and deliver comprehensive nursing services to diverse populations within rural communities, ensuring the provision of high-quality patient care. The DON will establish nursing practices that are aligned with the facilitys standards and regulatory requirements. This role will be responsible for monitoring patient outcomes and making necessary adjustments to improve care delivery and achieve optimal results. Additionally, the DON will play a key role in the development, implementation, and evaluation of hospital policies and procedures, ensuring they align with the hospitals objectives. This includes, but not limited to overseeing discharge planning, risk management, quality improvement initiatives, swing bed programs, and infection control measures. The DON will work closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure that nursing services meet the unique needs of rural areas and will be instrumental in driving continuous improvement in patient care standards. Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills are essential, as the DON will be expected to lead quality assurance comply with regulatory standards.
