On site living quarters available to utilize when you are on on call

Schedule: Rotating 12 hour shifts from 6am-6pm or 6pm to 6am. Take call 6 times/month which includes one weekend. Attend monthly meetings.

A Brief Overview

Provides emergency medical treatment to sick or injured patients, under the direction and supervision of physician and leaders, in accordance with established standards of performance, philosophy and objectives. Documents and reports observations and treatments provided to physicians, nurses and other healthcare staff, in support of patient care activities.

What you will do

  • Collects patient health data from patients, referring healthcare providers and patient charts.

  • Analyzes the collected data to assist in determining diagnoses and area of problem focus.

  • Identifies expected outcomes and goals, individualized to the patient, and develops a plan of care that prescribes interventions to attain expected outcome.

  • Implements the interventions identified in the plan of care.

  • Performs required documentation and participates in quality control activities to support patient care.

  • Evaluates the patient’s progress toward attainment of the outcomes and utilizes establishes protocols for patient care.

  • Systemically evaluates the quality and effectiveness of practice.

  • Acquires and maintains current knowledge in practice, procedures, and care.

  • Collaborates with the patient, significant others, and health care providers to provide appropriate patient care.

  • Considers factors related to safety, effectiveness, and cost in planning and delivering patient care in support of responsible, ethical and safe patient care and environments.

The individual must be able to work the hours specified. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job function satisfactorily including having visual acuity adequate to perform position duties and the ability to communicate effectively with others, hear, understand and distinguish speech and other sounds. Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:

  • Drivers License - Licensing Board Upon Hire and

  • EMT - National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) An active license in the state of practice Upon Hire and

  • Paramedic - National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) Upon Hire

  • Proficient in all EMS skills and familiar with various EMS training techniques

Preferred Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:

  • Bachelor's
