The wage range for this position will depend on experience and is approximately $26-29 per hour, with day shifts from Monday to Friday. Transport material between the appropriate facilities via dry vans with a tractor-trailer combination or the box truck. Perform preventative maintenance on all transportation equipment, pre-trip inspections, and any applicable legally required reporting. Operate equipment on vehicle to load, unload, and disperse material. Read and generate bills of lading to determine assignments and keeps record of materials and products transported. Obtain and maintain a forklift certification through an MDI training program. Works independently, efficiently manages time, and uses experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Participates in continuous improvement programs. Employ effective, respectful and persuasive spoken and written communication skills. Ensure compliance with work instructions and/or Quality Management System (QMS) procedures. Ensure adherence to all current company policies. Maintain highest levels of ethics and confidentiality. Maintain a safe work environment for yourself and others including wearing mandatory Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Assist with department cleanliness and housekeeping. Functions effectively in a fast paced, diverse, team environment. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: One or more years of related experience required. Current DOT (Department of Transportation) Physical Card, Class A Commercial Driver's License and a clean driving record. Ability to operate basic computer equipment and peripherals as well as company standard software. Able to effectively perform all basic mathematical functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.) Ability to effectively read, interpret and communicate industry and customer specific documentation. Problem analysis and resolution skills. Satisfactory completion of a criminal background check. Satisfactory completion of a motor vehicle record check. Satisfactory completion of a drug screening test. Verified eligibility for employment in the United States. Environment and Physical Demands: Work 8-hour shift, Monday through Friday. May be required to occasionally work during non-traditional hours (weekends and evenings). Schedule modification may be implemented by Supervisor. Occasionally works in a typical factory environment (high noise levels, machinery, conveyors, dust, chemicals, and temperature fluctuations.) Specific vision abilities required. Continuously works outdoors in all weather conditions. Continuously, sit, drive, hear, work in typical semi-tractor cab environment. Occasionally walk, stoop, crouch and maximum lift of 50 lbs. Other: Continuous travel within state.
