Description
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant in the manufacturing industry, located in Golden Valley, Minnesota. This role involves a variety of accounting tasks such as maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledgers, preparing and analyzing budgets, and conducting regular ledger processes. This is a short term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Handle daily bookkeeping tasks and prepare financial statements.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
• Consolidate and analyze financial statements and results.
• Maintain regular ledger and prepare trial balances.
• Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures.
• Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance.
• Develop and document business processes to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
• Facilitate and complete monthly close procedures.
• Maintain and manage the company's fixed assets.
• Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate customer credit records.
Requirements
• Proven experience as a Staff Accountant, preferably within the manufacturing industry
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Oracle, NetSuite, and SAP
• Experience with Bank Reconciliations and General Ledger maintenance
• Ability to prepare Journal Entries and manage Month End Close processes
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
