Otter Tail Corporation Project Scheduler in Fergus Falls, Minnesota

Description

In this role, the Project Scheduler will help shape OTP’s future by ensuring that its many vital projects make continuous progress, meet metrics and are completed on time and on or under budget.

Some examples of those activities will include:

  • Create and maintain project schedules which includes details like objectives, scope, budgets, timelines, potential risk factors and milestones.

  • Communicate progress, challenges, and potential risks to various stakeholders.

  • Enhance project department’s scheduling techniques via continuous education and improvement.

  • Continuously enhance knowledge of project scheduling techniques, software tools, and industry trends to ensure the application of best practices in project scheduling activities.

Qualifications:

We’re seeking candidates with a wide range of skills who have a passion for managing very detailed projects to completion while aligning with our values: integrity, safety, community, people, customer service, and resourcefulness.

  • There’s a lot of innovation in our industry and we want positive, can-do people who are resilient through the challenges that sometimes come with change.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal relationship, presentation, analytical and negotiation skills as you partner with various internal and external teams and

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field or equivalent work experience would also be considered.

  • Strong proficiency in project scheduling software like Primavera(5+years). Certifications are a plus.

  • Proven experience as a Project Scheduler in the utility industry (2+years).

  • General understanding of construction, sequencing, relationships, crews, equipment, and cost to assist with developing cost and resource loaded schedules.

  • In-depth understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and best practices
