They are responsible for ensuring that communication systems meet the required specifications for quality, reliability, and performance, while also mentoring and managing a team of RF engineers. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned: RF Design Leadership: lead the RF design process, including the design of radio transmitters, receivers, and antennas, to ensure they meet the required specifications. Network Planning Leadership: provide leadership in the planning and optimization of the network design, such as the propagation model, cell size, and antenna type to ensure maximum coverage and capacity. Spectrum Analysis Leadership: lead the spectrum analysis and interference analysis of the network to ensure optimal network performance. Performance Monitoring Leadership: lead the monitoring of network performance, troubleshooting of issues, and identification of areas for improvement. Project Management Leadership: lead projects related to RF engineering, such as network expansions and upgrades, and ensure that projects are completed on time and within Testing and Validation Leadership: lead the testing and validation of RF components and systems to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and specifications. Mentoring and Management: provide mentorship and management to a team of RF engineers, ensuring that they are performing at a high level and have opportunities for growth and development. Collaboration and Communication: collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as hardware and software engineers, and communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure the success of the overall communication system. Overall, an RF Engineer IV is critical to ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of communication systems. Using technical expertise and leadership skills to design, optimize, and troubleshoot RF systems, while mentoring and managing a team of RF engineers and collaborating with other professionals to ensure the success of the overall communication system. SAFETY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Adhere to, promote, and accept personal responsibility for compliance to: Federal and Local Occupational Safety and Health Regulations Industry Consensus Standards Circet USA Injury and Illness Prevention Program Manual Participate in job site safety/hazard analysis Qualifications EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and/or QUALIFICATIONS Education: A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field is A Master's degree in Electrical Engineerin is preferred. Experience: At least 7-10 years of experience in RF design, analysis, and testing is required. Technical Skills: a strong technical background in RF design, analysis, and testing is required and individuals must beproficient in using software tools such as MATLAB, ADS, and HFSS. Experience with network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and other RF test equipment is also Communication Skills: requires excellent communication skills, for working with cross-functional teams, including hardware, software, and system engineers. Should be able to clearly articulate technical information to both technical and non-technical Problem-Solving Skills: strong problem-solving skills, as the indivdiaul will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving complex RF design and testing issues. Attention to Detail: strong attention to detail, as even small design or testing errors can have significant consequences in RF systems. Leadership Skills: may be required to lead teams of engineers and technicians, so strong leadership skills are essential. Project Management Skills: may be responsible for managing projects, so experience in project management is desirable. Certifications: Certifications such as Certified Wireless Network Professional (CWNP) or National Instruments Certified LabVIEW Developer (CLD) can be a plus, although not always required. Additionally, RF Engineers IV may be required to have security clearances for certain government or defense-related projects.
