The Role
What’s the job?
The Embedded Software Engineer will specify, architect, test and support software for control systems for market-leading smart glass products. This will range from control algorithms for smart glass products to user-interface tools, sensors, and building automation network communication. While the position is focused on embedded software, this engineer will also contribute to other types of software development as needs arise. The role is hybrid, with a minimum of 40% on-site.
Develop embedded software for a wide range of products.
Manage projects, comprising one’s own work or small teams, including detailed project planning, organization of work, and reporting.
Assist in resolving customer issues by diagnosing and troubleshooting issues and implementing robustly tested solutions.
Work with other engineers to develop system architecture, requirements, and test cases from product-level requirements.
Maintain excellent documentation and test cases.

Requirements
What do you bring?
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering or equivalent.
3+ years developing software for embedded systems, including RTOS’s
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with TCP/IP networking
Highly skilled in C/C++ Experience with both stage-gate and agile processes preferred
Project management experience preferred
