Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role involves maintenance in PSM/RMP/ISO/SQF regulated and certified facilities. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate reports and records, including documentation of systems and components. Perform general facility and equipment repairs including pipe fitting, pump repair, HVAC, compressors, pump operations, tank inspections, and sprinkler systems. Provide feedback to engineers to help modify existing equipment and improve the design of future equipment. Respond to trouble calls quickly and make necessary repairs. Direct the work of 3rd party contractors/vendors. Snow removal and salting of driveways and entryways. Be available for on-call emergencies. Uphold our standards for quality and safety through continuous improvement activities and adherence to applicable environmental, safety, and health regulations and policies.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Work Environment

Our facility is a chemical distribution center in Minneapolis, MN. You must be comfortable working around chemicals, as we follow strict safety guidelines to maintain a safe environment. This role may require exposure to heights, so candidates who are afraid of heights may not be suitable. Our organization formulates, manufactures, blends, distributes, and acts as a sales agent for thousands of industrial chemicals and reagent grade laboratory chemicals sold to municipalities and businesses throughout the Central United States. Our products range from potassium carbonate to chlorine to FCC grade citrates and phosphates. Typical work hours are 1st shift from 8:00 am - 4:30 pm or 9:00 am - 5:30 pm, totaling 40-46 hours per week. On-call availability and some Saturday work for special projects may be required, along with potential assignments to other plants in the city for additional support.
