Miller Milling Sr Accounting Manager in Eden Prairie, Minnesota
Summary: The Sr. Accounting Manager is a key leadership role responsible for leading the accounts payable, credit and collections and month-end close functions. The role will ensure financial integrity and operational efficiency by managing key accounting operations and will be a champion of digital business transformation, leveraging technology to drive continuous improvement and innovation across the organization.
Salary Range: $120,000 - $140,000/annually
Primary Duties:
Manage the monthly financial close process, including ensuring all costs incurred are properly recorded, reviewing journal entries, account balance reconciliations, and report preparation (including year-end financial statements)
Oversee the management of accounts payable and credit and collections processes, providing recommendations for enhancements to optimize transaction processing and improve cash flow efficiency.
Take ownership of the credit card processes and procedures, with a focus on continuous improvement and streamlining for efficiency and accuracy
Enhance and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate risks.
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls.
Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with all financial regulations and to facilitate the timely completion of audit processes.
Manage a broad range of projects, many of which require extensive research and analysis of internal or external data, provide recommendations to management, and implement recommendations.
Drive continuous improvement by introducing innovative thinking and best practices to the function, including the analysis and development of new metrics and performance indicators.
Lead and mentor accounting staff, fostering their professional development and job performance.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent, CPA required
8+ years’ experience in accounting, with at least 3 years of team leadership
Experience in agriculture or manufacturing preferred
Strong technical and analytical aptitude translating GAAP into practical business advice
Strong interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication skills
Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and the ability to work independently
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including D365
Strong Attention to detail and organizational ability
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
