E.A. Sween/Deli Express Maintenance Line Technician - Weekend Shift in Eden Prairie, Minnesota

What We're Seeking An advanced level technician that will support all production equipment and production lines, while adhering to all safety standards. What You'll Do (Responsibilities) 1.Safety * Demonstrate a solid understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) for the various areas of the plant. Including bringing equipment, tools, etc. * Assist in maintaining a clean, safe and organized workspace * Demonstrate safe work habits by following all safety rules and general plant rules * Wear Personal Protection Equipment: Cut resistant gloves, hard hats while in Production, or safety glasses and specific protective equipment-based task being done * Successfully complete the mandatory E.A. Sween Safety quarterly safety training 2. Maintenance Line Technician * Display an advanced ability to manage time and perform self-directed work. * Build documentation for in house designs and, or training purposes. * Perform programming on VFDs and possess the ability to troubleshoot PLC logic. * Provide training and assistance to Line Technicians on all production equipment, participate in active knowledge sharing. * Provide back up support for Production Support Technician including equipment set-up/teardown and change overs as necessary. * Ability to work with outside vendors to improve current processes or find future process improvements. * Display an advanced understanding and aptitude of mechanical processes and procedures while troubleshooting equipment a. Ability to use basic hand tools on the floor b. Identify mechanical issues and remedy c. Ability to perform mechanical repairs efficiently and effectively * Display an advanced understanding and aptitude of electrical processes and procedures while troubleshooting equipment a. Using a meter to perform high level troubleshooting to component level. b. Replace/Program electrical components and complete complex wiring. c. Advanced electrical abilities including being able to read & follow blueprints and schematics * Display an advanced understanding and aptitude of pneumatic processes and procedures while troubleshooting equipment. a. Ability to read schematics and interpret circuits design and component functions within the circuit b. Ability to troubleshoot pneumatic components effectively * Display basic ability to use shop equipment a. Mill b. Lathe c. Drill Press d. Band saws e. Welder f. And hydraulic presses * Help to build the PM procedures for all production equipment. Complete Work Orders in CMMS for all work performed in a timely fashion. * Follow all aspects of the Maintenance Planning Process a. Use and help validate PM Job Plans b. Use Asset Essentials to create a Work Order * Follow all aspects of the Parts Process a. Understand Storeroom Layout b. Parts Checkout process and expectations c. Using Asset Essentials (parts lookup, part requests etc.) * Use technology tools at a high level to communicate with fellow co-workers and cross functional teams to maintain open communication and line availability * Must maintain good attendance, GMP and Safety records Quality Have an understanding of SQF Level 3 (Food Safety & Quality) Have an understanding of regulatory & customer requirements Have an understanding of HACCP plans Understand your responsibility in protecting the safety and quality of ou food through proper GMPs Report any questionable product to the QA, Supervisor or QC Teamwork Support and demonstrate the Spirit of E.A. Sween and inspire others to do the same. Assist in providing a friendly, positive work environment. Show respect for all other co-workers. Get along with all co-workers. Ability to accept work instructions & complete requests from co-workers Provide input and feedback on department updates, status, changes, etc. Provide training for Line Technicians as needed. Complete other duties as assigned Continuous Improvement Understand general principles and goals of EAS Continuous Improvement/LEAN program Lead internal projects designed at reducing manual labor processes Take an active role in new equipment design/install projects Be willing to participate in any company mandated or recommended training to grow skills within given scope of the role 6. Maintenance Line Technician: Demonstrate the mastery of the following standard work processes: * Repair and maintain equipment using the industry standards and collaborating with other departments as needed * Assist with the development and implementation of World Class Maintenance Principles * Work with other departments to ensure repairs are completed on timely basis * Completely & correctly complete all required documents for Production and the department a. PMs b. Other documentation as required What You'll Need (Qualifications) Strong Communication Skills Be Proficient at Microsoft Wod, Google Drive, and Outlook Ability to manage time and workload efficiently and independently Highly proficient at electrical troubleshooting and logic processes High level understanding of pneumatic components and circuit design Previous Food Manufacturing experience strongly preferred Must have used a CMMS or similar process in the past for work orders 5 years experience in Maintenance Technician role or 2 years experience and a completion of a technical degree/certification How You'll Find Success at EAS Value People Most of All: Show respect & care, embrace diversity, and empower others.
