Factory Motor Parts Battery Operations Manager in Eagan, Minnesota

Description DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: SOP Development & Implementation: Develop, update, and enforce SOPs related to battery operations, charging, and maintenance. Ensure all locations adhere to the latest SOPs, making adjustments as necessary to improve efficiency and safety. Collaborate with other departments to integrate battery operations best practices into overall company procedures. Operational Support: Visit DCs and spokes (up to 50% travel required) to provide on-site support, ensuring compliance with SOPs and addressing any operational issues. Monitor battery operations to ensure that all processes are carried out correctly and efficiently. Provide feedback and recommendations to local teams to optimize battery performance and longevity. Compliance & Safety: Ensure all battery operations comply with safety regulations and company policies. Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify and address any potential risks or non-compliance issues. Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the Battery channel. Education & Development: Conduct on-site educational sessions at various DCs and spokes to educate employees on battery charging, maintenance, and safety protocols. Develop instructional materials and programs to ensure all staff are knowledgeable about SOPs and best practices on Batteries. Provide hands-on demonstrations and support to ensure proper battery handling and maintenance. Reporting & Continuous Improvement: Maintain accurate records of training sessions, compliance audits, and operational performance. Prepare and present reports on the status of battery operations, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions. Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in battery technology, incorporating new knowledge into SOPs and training programs. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in operations management, with a focus on battery operations, maintenance. Strong knowledge of battery charging, maintenance, and safety protocols. Excellent communication, training, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and guide teams across multiple locations. Experience in developing and implementing SOPs. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to travel up to 50% of the time to various DCs and spokes as required. WORK ENVIRONMENT: This role requires travel (up to 50%) to various DCs and spokes. The position involves a combination of office work and hands-on operational support, requiring strict adherence to safety standards.
