Our regional medical campus at Duluth educates medical students toward medical careers in rural family medicine and Native American health, with early and longitudinal clinical experiences. Part-time faculty appointment would be on the Clinical Track. The University of Minnesota Medical School is a world-class institution with a long history of leadership and discoveries that have changed the practice of medicine. We engage undergraduate students in science and medicine, educate medical students, and engage postdocs in research. Job Duties: -Medical education for the first- and second-year medical students. Aligned with our new SERVE curriculum, we emphasize family medicine, rural medicine, Native American health, foundational sciences, and clinical skills. Courses are topic-integrated and taught in a variety of venues and formats, including in-person, large group, small group, online, and statewide. -Teaching history and clinical skills for the Community Clinical Medicine course (CCM) and the Clinical Skills courses; -Leadership as course director and/or curriculum thread director; -Didactics, skills labs, OSCEs; -Faculty supervision and advising of a Learning Community group of medical students -Participation as a faculty member in our Admissions process. -Additional duties as required. Qualifications Qualifications: Required Qualifications: -M.D. or D.O. -Family physician, board certified ABFM or AOBFP. -Qualified ABIM certified internist considered -Licensed physician in Minnesota. -Up to date in ongoing MOC maintenance of certification. -Prior experience teaching medical students required. -Prior experience teaching residents considered.
