EMP SERV, LLC dba Pipestone Farmworker in Currie, Minnesota

Need 15 full time, temporary, seasonal Farmworkers to work in Pipestone, Martin and Watonwan, and Murray Counties in Minnesota. From: 10/01/2024 - 05/01/2025 Work: 45 hrs./week, Mon.-Fri. 7 hrs./day, Sat.-Sun. 5 hrs./day. 8:00am-4:00pm. As required for all workers in Minnesota, hours worked in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at the rate of 1.5 times the regular rate of pay. Effective Jan 1, 2024, per MN State Statute, an employee will earn one hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to at least 48 hours of accrued Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) per year, provided the employee works a minimum of 80 hours in a calendar year. Must apply by: 01/16/2025 JOB DESCRIPTION: Follow all production protocols and procedures to maximize sow and gilt production & efficiencies. The workers must be willing to learn specialized skills necessary for smooth workflow and become a skilled employee in animal husbandry in order to reduce stress of herd and maximize production. Employees will follow daily task sheets in the department to achieve production targets, complete production paperwork accurately and timely, adhere to all bio-security protocols, and give input to lead person in area for items out of compliance. Workers will be expected to work with other team employees in a designated area to ensure bio-security audit deficiencies are corrected and brought into compliance in a timely basis. All work-related tools, supplies and equipment provided by the employer. Must be able to lift and carry 75lbs/75yds. Must be willing to work in extreme temperatures. One (1) month of relative work experience required. Background check conducted through ADP if worker has a U.S Social Security Number. The employer reserves the right to conduct a background check post-hire at the employers expense IF the employer deems it necessary. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to lift and carry 75lbs/75yds. Must be able and willing to perform work in extreme temperatures, with extensive pushing, pulling, sitting or walking, frequent stooping or bending over, and repetitive movements. One (1) month of relative work experience required. Background check conducted through ADP if worker has a U.S Social Security Number. EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts.
