The Assistant Director of Online and Transfer Recruitment is responsible for strategic planning and execution of the University's efforts to identify, recruit, evaluate and enroll transfer students. The Assistant Director will provide leadership in recruitment of transfer students from prospect generation through enrollment confirmation. The Assistant Director will cultivate relationships with key constituents, including prospective students, two-year programs, and employers. As the majority of UMN Crookston transfer students enter UMN Crookston's online academic programs, activities targeting adult learners is key, along with developing relationships with employers funneling students to online programs. As part of a new collaboration, this position will include targeted recruitment for UMN Crookston. RESPONSIBILITIES Develop and implement a comprehensive admissions plan that effectively builds a competitive advantage consistent with U of M Crookston's mission, academic programs, and unique strengths; Lead the design and execution of a transfer student recruitment plan; Strategize, coordinate and execute a college recruitment management plan that applies an effective mix of in-person and virtual recruitment, over-the-phone and email communication, and other methods of relationship building; Build and manage relationships with key external stakeholders, including prospective students, two-year academic programs, and employers looking to educate their workforce; Plan and participate in recruitment and enrollment activities, including: managing an admissions territory, attending open houses, regional presentation, orientation programs, regional and national college fairs, and scholarship days; Independently review applications and make admission recommendations based on academic requirements and program choice compatibility; Model and promote respect and effective partnerships in advancing campus efforts to build and inclusive and respectful community; Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree; Five years of experience in undergraduate admissions and recruiting or related experience. Demonstrated self-awareness, cultural competence, and achievement in working with diverse student populations; Demonstrated track record of success in achieving stated outcomes; Exemplary customer service and relationship-building skills; Demonstrated excellence in writing, oral communication and oral presentations; Strong interpersonal skills, evidence of the ability to establish rapport easily with a wide variety of people and to project a positive image; A demonstrated ability to work both independent and as a team member; and Valid driver's license and willingness to travel (requires occasional overnight, evening and week-end work). The final job offer is contingent upon a complete background check and receipt of official transcripts. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree; Five years progressively responsible experience in undergraduate admissions and/or comparable experience and record of success in sales and marketing.
