Job Duties -

Looking for a highly experienced engineer (Principal / Sr. level) with experience in low level (BSP & device drivers) and platform / kernel level software in a Linux environment. The person will be setting up a Toradex distribution of Embedded Linux on a platform based on a NXP's i.MX 8M computer module. The engineer will be developing device drivers for a variety of analog sensors and creating/updating communication drivers (CAN, BlueTooth, Wifi). In addition, the candidate will be supporting the generation of avionics applications using Dockers and containers technology.

Job Requirements -

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal or Senior Engineer with extensive experience in both low-level software (including BSP and device drivers) and platform/kernel-level software within a Linux environment. The successful candidate will be tasked with:

  1. Implementing a Toradex Embedded Linux Distribution: This involves setting up the distribution on a platform powered by an NXP i.MX 8M computer module.

  2. Developing and Enhancing Device Drivers: You will develop new device drivers for various analog sensors and update existing communication drivers, including CAN, Bluetooth, and WiFi functionalities.

  3. Supporting Avionics Application Development: The role requires supporting the creation and maintenance of avionic applications utilizing Docker and container technologies.

The ideal candidate must demonstrate proven expertise in embedded systems, proficiency in handling complex technical challenges, and a capacity for innovative problem-solving in a dynamic development environment.

Desired Skills & Experience -

  • Familiarity with Toradex computer module and Linux distribution is a big advantage

  • Experience in Avionics environment (DO-178B/C). This is for low DAL level (C, D)

  • Familiarity with MQTT protocol is desirable
