Role Summary: The HR Coordinator at Apothecary Products is responsible for facilitating daily HR functions as well as general administration responsibilities, using a broad knowledge of HR and working autonomously. Essential Duties + Responsibilities: Accountable for day-to-day payroll and benefits administration activities including but not limited to: Executes bi-weekly payroll administration Administers all benefit plans, including enrollments, changes, and terminations; accountable for entry into HRIS and benefit carrier websites Acts as liaison between team members and benefits providers resolves benefits-related issues First point contact for all team members seeking assistance with benefits and payroll-related issues. Salary survey participation as needed Supports the Human Resources team in compliance activities to include but not limited to audit of tax records and benefit billing. Supports Human Resources team in communication vehicles including maintenance of Team Member digital communication board administration, team member mailings, suggestion box, and posted HR information throughout the facility. Provides day-to-day support to executing on APL's team member relations strategy including but not limited to: Maintenance of team member files Assists in the coordination of Team Member events. Administers birthday and other life event recognition programs. Supports talent acquisition efforts which may include: job posting, screening potential candidates, coordinates interviews, background checks, and assisting with onboarding activities. Assists in the coordination of APL committees (Team MAS, Well-being, Safety, Booster Club) initiatives as additional support is needed. Collaborates with other team members and APL resources to determine best practices and provide update to process. Offers new ideas to support fulfillment of department goals and procedures to Human Resources Team. Execute company projects as necessary based on the needs of the organization Other duties as beneficial to APL. Competencies: Education: Bachelor's degree Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations, or Business Management required or equivalent experience Required Work Experience: 1-3 years of experience in field or related area Preferred Experience: Work experiences in manufacturing, distribution, and/or consumer packaged goods Prior experience supporting a small company/location 1+ years in recruitment and working within applicant tracking systems Travel Requirement: None Critical skills and abilities: This position requires an individual who is a reliable, approachable, welcoming, self-starter who can work independently managing multiple tasks in tandem with frequent interruptions. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and exercise discretion and independent judgment at all times. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tack and diplomacy. Open communicator, excellent communication skills (oral, written, and listening). Uphold and promote the positive image of the APL's brand. Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet as well as familiarity with payroll processing and benefits systems portals or ability to quickly learn Willingness to continuously learn and be open to feedback to improve individual performance. Must have strong ability to collaborate, build, and maintain strong relationships with Team Members across all functions. Must maintain safe maintenance practices and adhere to safety requirements. Work Environment: The work environment for this position includes a combination of office and manufacturing settings. As Apothecary Products is a manufacturer and distributor of products and supplies, the incumbent will be exposed to various temperatures, fumes and loud noise in the manufacturing setting. Due to periodic time spent on the manufacturing floor, the incumbent must be able to tolerate some exposure to these work place characteristics.
