Description A forward-thinking and successful manufacturing company is urgently seeking a highly experienced, detail-oriented Senior Accountant for a 2–3-month contract opportunity.
Responsibilities:
Perform and support monthly, quarter-end, and year-end close related activities in a prompt and efficient manner.
Prepare and ensure accurate journal entries, financial statements, and account reconciliations.
Undertake reconciliation of sub-ledgers to general ledgers.
Work closely with business partners and support external audits.
Develop process efficiencies and implement improvements to assigned accounting processes.
Maintain appropriate and robust internal controls.
Participate in ad-hoc tasks/projects as needed to support the company's financial infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will be able to handle a challenging and transformative environment, given that the company is going through a period of significant change and transition.
Required Skills:
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Senior Accountant, preferably within the manufacturing industry setting.
Strong analytical capabilities with an emphasis on process documentation and operational efficiency enhancement.
Demonstrated ability to operate autonomously, with minimal supervision.
Adaptability to change, with the resilience to thrive in a changing environment.
Strong understanding of accounting and financial processes (budgeting, financial closure, reporting etc.)
Proficiency in MS Office (especially MS Excel) and familiarity with relevant software (e.g. SAP).
Solid communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

• Proficient in Balance Sheet Reconciliation.
• Must be adept at conducting Bank Reconciliations.
• Demonstrated expertise in managing the General Ledger.
• Skilled in creating and managing Journal Entries.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
• Must be experienced with Month End Close procedures.
• Familiarity with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne is desirable.
• Understanding of Accrual Accounting is essential.
• Experience with managing Accruals is required.
• Proficiency in managing Accrued Expenses is necessary.
