Description

We are seeking a Data Analyst to join our team in the machinery manufacturing industry, based in Bloomington, Minnesota. This role offers a contract employment opportunity. As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for using Power BI to design and implement reports, analyzing data sets and creating visualizations, and communicating effectively with both users and developers.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize Power BI to design and implement reports, ensuring accurate and efficient data visualization.

• Maintain detailed documentation for each report, including definition, use cases, and tips.

• Understand the structure of Business Intelligence and how end users interact with it.

• Collaborate with developers and users to translate user needs into report designs.

• Utilize Excel to link directly to data sets and integrate them into Power BI, unlocking additional functionality.

• Understand and apply data mining techniques to create complex financial models.

• Create dashboards to effectively visualize and communicate data.

• Utilize analytics skills to interpret data and provide insights.

• Understand and apply data visualization techniques to effectively communicate data.

• Work with a data scientist as needed to troubleshoot and improve data analysis.

Requirements • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a Data Analyst role or similar

• Proficient in Database Management and Data Mining Techniques

• Expertise in Data Visualization and Analytics

• Experience with Business Intelligence (BI) tools, especially Power BI and SAP Ariba

• Ability to create and manage complex financial models and perform complex financial analysis

• Proficient in creating dashboards for data visualization and reporting

• Experience in drafting Business Requirement Documents

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics.
