Robert Half Accounting Manager in Bloomington, Minnesota
Description A growing manufacturing organization is seeking an Accounting Manager for 2–3-month consulting engagement in the south metro. This position has the option to be hybrid with 3-4 days onsite.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department.
Preparing monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports, statements, and projections.
Oversee the month-end and year-end close process.
Completing journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
Supporting audit functions and liaising with external auditors.
Assisting in the budget planning and performance evaluation processes.
Implementing and managing internal financial controls and procedures.
Familiarity with JDE and HFM is a plus.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. MBA or CPA is preferred.
At least five (7 ) years of experience in a similar role.
Familiarity with JDE, Oracle, or SAP is preferred
Strong understanding and prior experience working in a manufacturing industry is preferred
Prior cost experience is preferred
Excellent computer skills with high proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of GAAP and other accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively.

• Understanding of Standard Cost Accounting
• Experience in Cost Accounting
• Knowledge of percentage (%) of completion accounting method
