CPM Holdings, Inc. Shipping and Receiving Clerk in Blaine, Minnesota
JOB SUMMARY:
Under the direction and guidance of the Logistics Manager, Americas, the Shipping/Receiving Clerk is responsible for gathering and shipping material in compliance with customer’s requirements and in accordance with domestic and international shipping standards.
This is a fully onsite position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Shipping/Receiving Clerk duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Read Company’s packing list or other documentation to determine material to be gathered and shipped.
Box or crate material being shipped in compliance with customer’s delivery requirements; weigh and count packages/crates for distribution to ensure conformance of domestic and international shipping standards. Calculate and record dimensions of package/crate on appropriate paperwork.
Maintain organization of the warehouse by sorting and moving inventory and project material to suitable locations
Receive and record into SAP incoming purchase orders and deliveries Preparing international export shipping documents including commercial invoices, NAFTA forms, and certificates of origin ensuring accuracy, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures; distribute to appropriate internal customers.
Ensure warehouse is accessible and safe for internal and external customers.
Maintain cleanliness of warehouse.
Perform facilities maintenance duties as needed.
Inventory Cycle Counts
SAP Business One job duties as required and assigned.
Performing other related duties as required and assigned
QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS
High School diploma or GED.
Minimum one year related experience
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, customers, and vendors.
Respond to requests and inquiries from internal and external customers.
Understand and follow oral and written instructions.
Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
Operate a variety of office machines, including but not limited to copiers and fax machine.
Ability to work independently on assigned tasks; as well as, to accept direction on given assignments.
Knowledge of computers and applications, such as internet, Adobe Acrobat & Microsoft Office.
Knowledge of international shipping documents rules and regulations a plus, but not required
Understanding of ocean cargo insurance a plus, but not required
Basic understanding of Incoterms 2000 and 2010.
Understand and carry out technical instructions.
Fork Lift Certified
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to sit, stand, bend and move about.
Reaching by extending hand(s) or arm(s) in any direction.
Finger and hand dexterity required to manipulate objects.
Communication skills using the spoken word.
Ability to see within normal parameters.
Ability to hear within normal range.
Ability to physically lift and carry up to 50lbs
Fork Lift Certified
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Exposed to shop elements such as dust, odors, and fumes.
Occasional exposure to hazardous chemicals
