RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure procurement systems, tools, and processes are being used by the team effectively.
Work closely with accounting, legal, and internal work groups to ensure alignment on issues management and key initiatives.
Support audit activities, such as ensuring documentation is available and accurate and address any findings related to area of responsibility.
Ensure team members are cross trained to support multiple areas of Hormel Procurement.
Own the new catalog function of the Procurement Shared Services Model.
Manage 7 hourly employees supporting various areas of the business.
Distribute tasks and resources effectively to ensure optimal performance and prevent system or team overload.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required
5+ years of experience in a procurement / operations function.
2 - 5 years of lead or supervisor experience.
Be a collaborator, team-oriented, with the ability to gain consensus from internal and external stakeholders.
Possess good working knowledge of MS Office suite.
Must have good working knowledge of Oracle and other Procurement tools.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
Ability to analyze situations to identify problems and develop solutions.
Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident or have the authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, or related field.
LOCATION: Austin, MN, Global Headquarters
A comprehensive relocation package to the Austin, MN area will be offered, if required.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Travel may be necessary 10% of the time.
