City Of Apple Valley Facility Supervisor in Apple Valley, Minnesota
The Facility Supervisor is responsible for the security and safety of the facility and its users. Facility Supervisors are required to perform all tasks necessary to assist clients using the facility and which make the facility attractive and presentable. The Supervisor must respond to the needs and concerns of all using the facility in a courteous, informed, and enthusiastic manner. Supervises the Apple Valley Community Center and Hayes Park to maintain a clean and safe environment for all users. Oversee other variable part-time building staff, including Facility Attendants, Warming House Attendants, Janitorial staff and Adult Athletics staff. Delegate tasks and assist as needed with program and facility needs. Troubleshoots concerns that arise with off-site Parks and Recreation facilities and programs (e.g., Redwood, Johnny Cake Ridge Park, picnic shelters, etc.) and refers them to Parks and Recreation Department staff who can assist. Assists clients with registration for recreational programs and activities and with reservation of certain recreational facilities. Be courteous and sincere in all relations and matters dealing with the general public using the building. Oversees set-up, take-down, and monitoring of all building equipment along with overseeing light maintenance, room set-up and take down, and general cleaning. Coordinates and implements recreational programs or activities and assists in City-wide events as assigned. Opens and closes the building as scheduled. Keeps other facility and department staff regularly and timely informed of activities and issues related to the facility. Performs other duties consistent with the responsibilities of the position as apparent or assigned. Starting rate of pay dependent on qualifications. Schedule: Typical weeknights are 4:30 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. Typical Saturday's 7:45 a.m. to 1: 30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. - 7:15 p.m. Sunday's 11:45 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. Start and end times may vary.
